Greetings.  I am a warm, astute, and engaged Postdoral Psychologist, who is committed to providing you a safe and compassionate space in which to take on life’s challenges and overcome barriers to a fuller, more engaged and rewarding life.  I work with adolescents and adults suffering from depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, grief, general discontent, as well as work and academic distress.  I am well trained in working with trauma (early abuse and neglect), relationship struggles (work, family and romantic), I am sensitive and open to the unique needs of those from diverse ethnic, racial, sexual, ability and religious identifications/backgrounds. That is a core commitment of mine.

I work from a psychodynamic lens, and integrate other evidence-based approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, skills training, and problem solving to provide an ideal balance of self-exploration with implementable steps toward your desired changes. Whatever are your particular life challenges that keep you stuck, I will work closely with you, listening to your feedback, as we work to attain clarity around core issues, ineffective relational patterns, and/or self-defeating behavior which will keep you from greater growth and progress toward your life goals. We can overcome these barriers together, and I invite you to embark on this journey with me.

I graduated from the Derner Institute at Adelphi University with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology. While earning my PhD, I completed clinical training at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, IPTAR, Nassau University Medical Center, and Long Beach Reach. Each placement has afforded me with meaningful and well-rounded experiences working with patients from many ages, presenting problems, and backgrounds. Prior to graduating from the Derner Institute, I attended the University of Pennsylvania where I earned my Masters of Science in Education (Ms.Ed) in Counseling and Mental Health. My passion for psychology was first fostered at Clark University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology, with a second major in Sociology.

Please reach out and we can discuss how therapy can help you
