WHAT WE DO
Treating Individuals, Couples, and Families in Midtown NYC
Bryant West Psychology
At Bryant West Psychology, our dedicated psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers collaborate to provide comprehensive assessment, psychotherapy, and psychiatric services for adults, children (over 8), couples, and families. We specialize in treating depression/mood, anxiety/panic, OCD, work, family and relationship distress, gender/sexuality issues and complex trauma. We do so with expertise and compassion, focusing on building skills and resiliency, providing insight, and fostering authenticity, agency, intimacy, and emotional growth. We celebrate diversity and create a safe and supportive environment for individuals from all backgrounds - within our group and for our clients. We accept all insurances and are in-network for most Aetna plans.
Our Services
Mental health services are best provided within an open, trusting relationship with a professional who is dedicated to understanding your unique concerns and recognizes your need for safety and emotional validation. In our work, we create a space for the emergence of greater self-expression, agency, and growth, allowing you to be more fully engaged and alive to yourself and to others.
The Psychotherapies
Psychotherapy, whether individual, couples, family or group, is best done through a warm and empathic relationship with a professional who is dedicated to understanding your unique pain and recognizes your needs for safety, respect and emotional validation. While psychotherapy can offer insight, new skills, and self-discovery, it primarily provides a healing relationship. This relationship fosters greater self-expression, agency, and growth, enabling you to be more fully engaged and present with yourself and others.
Psychiatry and Medication Management
Our Psychiatrists work collaboratively with psychotherapists as part of the same team, sharing information and communicating easily to provide the best possible care. This coordinated approach combines psychotherapy and medication to effectively address emotional regulation, symptom relief, and neuroplasticity, which all contribute to positive change and overall well-being.
Psychological Assessment and Testing
Psychological testing and assessment can help your understand your unique needs and strengths. We offer a variety of assessments for children (over 8 years old) and adults to identify learning, intellectual, social and emotional challenges and strengths. This information can be used to create a personalized treatment plan for you, and to help you get the accommodations and support you need. Some of the most common assessments we offer include those for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, academic and learning disabilities, personality assessment, and IQ testing.

Money Matters
At Bryant West Psychology, money is discussed openly and transparently. We recognize the deep emotional issues often tied to money (power, dependency, control, greed, self-esteem/shame, etc.). So we strive to be upfront in our approach to money. We will explore the impact of fees on our relationship with you as such issues emerge, and keep the dialogue open (as with any other issue in psychotherapy).
