Hello there; I am a compassionate, supportive, and well-trained clinical psychologist available to provide telehealth psychotherapy to adults throughout New York State. I am deeply committed to my clinical work and consider it a privilege to support people in their healing, growth, and self-understanding.
I specialize in trauma (chronic and acute) and grief and bereavement. I also enjoy working with concerns such as anxiety and depression, relationship and family concerns, and adjustment to major life transitions, including parenthood, the death of a loved one, difficult medical diagnoses, and changes in bodily function and appearance. Before joining Bryant West Psychology, I worked as a palliative care psychologist in a New York hospital setting and also have experience supporting caregivers whose children have died or who were separated from them.
I strive to create a warm, open, and collaborative therapeutic space, given that it is often through our relationships that we come to better understand ourselves, others, and the world around us. I believe healing occurs in relationships that feel safe, thoughtful, and emotionally honest, and I hope our work together can become an important vehicle for growth and change, with you in the driver’s seat and beside me.
My work is grounded in humanistic and relational psychology, with attention to the ways our experiences, relationships, and environments shape meaning, identity, and emotional life. I also have extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and aim to tailor treatment to each client’s unique goals and lived experiences.
I also have training in sex therapy-informed treatment and support clients navigating concerns related to desire, arousal, sexual shame, identity exploration, and the impact of early experiences on adult relationships and intimacy. I approach these conversations with curiosity and collaborative exploration rather than assumptions about what people “should” feel, want, or experience.
Seeking psychological help can be a significant and vulnerable decision. Sharing parts of yourself that may feel painful, uncertain, or difficult to put into words can understandably feel risky, especially if you have felt misunderstood, hurt, or unseen in past relationships. I deeply value the trust involved in this process and strive to show up with care and openness as we work together toward healing within our relationship and beyond.
I hope to help you better navigate life’s challenges, reconnect with your authentic voice and sense of self, and create a meaningful and fulfilling life.
