How Mental Health Treatment Works at Bryant West Psychology

At Bryant West Psychology, we're committed to helping women feel confident and empowered. Our clinicians offer a personalized, collaborative approach to help you face challenges. When you work with us, we'll help you map confront and change internal and relational patterns that get in your way and create distress, such as social comparisons, people-pleasing, avoidance, perfectionism and hyper-functioning that gets in your way.

Our professionals will walk you through how to regulate emotions, set clear boundaries, and practice compassionate self-talk. We encourage you to practice these skills, set realistic goals, and discuss insights between sessions. Some of our outpatient therapy options include:

  • In-person therapy: Our centrally located offices at 40th Street and Broadway are easy to get to by subway, and close to Times Square, Port Authority, Grand Central and Penn Stations.
  • Telehealth therapy: We're licensed to provide telehealth services throughout New York State, and some of our clinicians offer telehealth services in New Jersey and other states. These are indicated on their bios.

Once you've met with any of our clinicians, they can assist in coordinating care with other therapists who might offer Group Psychotherapy, or Couples/Family Psychotherapy, or other adjunctive psychotherapies.  Any of our clinicians can coordinate care with a Psychiatric Providers for medication assessment and  management, or can help set you up with a referral for  Psychological Assessment Services.  Please note that all of our services are available as a stand-alone services or in conjunction other services to address needs comprehensively.

Insurance and Fees

Bryant West Psychology works with most insurance plans (whether in-network or out-of-network) to make the financials easy, hassle-free, and paper-work-free for you. We can bill your insurance for you, and you can pay us any deductibles and co-pays by credit card or through Zelle, as well as the old-fashioned ways, such as check or cash.

In-Network: Our clinicians (except come of our Assessment Clinicians) are providers In-Network with Aetna and its affiliated insurances (Allied Benefit Systems - Aetna, Christian Brothers Services - Aetna, Health Scope - Aetna, Meritain, Nippon, Trustmark) and Student Health Insurances at NYU, Columbia, New School, and Fordham. Your in-network insurance company sets our fees, co-pays, and deductibles, making our service more affordable. We will discuss this with you.

Out-of-Network: We bill all insurance companies, such as United Health Care, Oxford, Cigna, Blue Cross/Shield, and Beacon (to name a few). Depending on your plan, your insurance may pay up to 80% of our fee (and sometimes more). We will do our best to work with you to make payment arrangements that won't break the bank—that is, your bank.
