Our collaborative assessment process includes a diagnostic interview, a review of your records, and, for children, interviews with parents, teachers, or others with knowledge of your child’s functioning and capabilities. Testing sessions vary in number depending on the questions being asked and their complexity. Following the assessment, your Assessment Psychologist will write a detailed report to guide  treatment, obtain necessary services or  provide you with the documentation needed for accommodations among other purposes. Your assessment psychologist will schedule one or more feedback sessions to review your results, ensure you have a clear understanding of the results and their implications, as well as provide support and guidance in obtaining necessary accommodations.

Why Work With Us for Assessment Services?

Our well-trained assessment specialists, all doctoral-level psychologists, skills and expertise, using evidence-based best practices.

Our central location in Midtown (40th and Broadway) near multiple greater NYC transportation hubs (Pennsylvania and Grand Central Stations, NY Port Authority, and Times Square Subways), makes us an easy option whether you are on the Upper East Side, Upper Westside, Downtown, Brooklyn, Jersey City and beyond.  Our supportive, nurturing environment is convenient to home or office.

While most of our assessment psychologists are out-of-network, some do accept Aetna and Meritain insurance, as well as student insurances from Columbia University, NYU, New School, Fordham, Pratt and FIT. We will make every effort to set you up with a provider who is in-network for one of these insurance plans, but if none are available (the wait for their services is too long), or if you have an out-of-network insurance, we will work with you to set an affordable fee. We submit most billing to your insurance on your behalf.
