Whether we are working in individual, couples, or group psychotherapy, my overarching goal for you is to help you live a life of greater authenticity, integrity, and wholeness. You may be facing a distinct roadblock, a problematic or even welcomed life transition, relationship struggles, a vague sense that something is wrong, or symptoms of anxiety, depression, grief and loss, complex trauma, or the profound stress of living in a society that “others” you due to who you are or how you identify. I am committed to working with you through these difficulties from a stance of respect, collaboration, and openness. I strive to foster a working relationship that is safe and consistent.

I firmly believe that working to increase your self-awareness of the complex factors that lead to habits of mind, relationship, and behavior (once adaptive, but perhaps now increasingly self-defeating) can foster significant changes in how you relate to yourself, others, and the world. These newfound freedoms can lead to healing and growth, new possibilities for fulfillment, and an expanded sense of well-being. We want you to be empowered to live, love, and work to your fullest potential. In our work, healing may also come from developing new skills or targeting specific symptoms that interfere with your ability to access your inner resources to meet your unique needs and life goals.

I earned my doctorate from Rutgers University, and I have worked with individuals suffering from mood disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, psychotic disorders, problems with medical conditions, and past trauma, including sexual and emotional abuse. I am dedicated to practicing culturally sensitive psychotherapy that is welcoming to adults of all ages and diverse identities and communities. In addition, I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, people-oriented to or practicing consensual non-monogamy (CNM), and addressing other issues related to gender and sexuality.

I invite you to call or email me to discuss what this process of discovery, healing, and growth may look like together.
