I am a warm and caring postdoctoral psychologist specializing in working with adolescents, college-aged individuals, and adults with a variety of mental health diagnoses, including anxiety and depression, learning disabilities, various mood disorders, school, work, bi-cultural, parenting, and relationship challenges, as well as the complex effects of surviving relational and other severe forms of trauma (sexual, physical and emotional, and neglect). Additionally, I am keenly interested in working with individuals with complex medical issues. As a mother, I also have a particular interest in women’s mental health, including perinatal and postpartum issues, as well as the challenges that accompany the journey towards and within parenthood.

As an observant Jewish woman, I have the personal experience of balancing a deeply valued, traditional worldview with that of a diverse and pluralistic society. Many live such lives, where one struggles to balance the various identities and facets of oneself, which, at times, may appear to conflict with one another. When faced with such bi-cultural challenges, I am here to help.

My clinical approach is mainly psychodynamic from an attachment-based and relational perspective. I focus on helping you explore your past relationships and experiences to recognize patterns of how they influence and affect your life now. In this way, we can affect the changes you seek in your life. I also utilize techniques from various other modalities as needed, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), as well as a trauma-informed approach.

Beginning therapy can be an overwhelming experience, and I understand the courage it takes to take those first steps. I prioritize providing a warm, empathetic, and safe space for my clients, where they feel they can share without judgment, as I find that to be the foundation of successful treatment. Having worked with diverse populations, I aim to provide culturally responsive therapy inclusive of all backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, religions, abilities, socioeconomic statuses, genders, and sexual orientations.

I earned my doctorate at Pace University and completed my predoctoral internship working with individuals across the lifespan at New Alternatives for Children. I have experience working in community organizations, outpatient clinics, schools, and within the child welfare system.
I look forward to working with you!
